s.SS.PzAbt 101 Tiger I (Late Production)

It's 1944 and the Allies have landed in Normandy and are pushing inland to liberate France and the German High Command is desperate to push the Allies back into the sea. Crack SS Panzer units that are based in France are ordered to advance to meet the Allies in the Bocage region and one unit in particular, the 2nd Kompanie of the s.SS.PzAbt 101 is being lead by one of Germany's greatest 'Tiger Aces'...Michael Wittmann. Elite Armor is now proud to introduce their fourth release in the all new Armor In Battle Series - the impressive s.SS.PzAbt 101 (Late Production) Tiger I's used by Michael Wittmann during his famous tank battles at Villers-Bocage and finally to his death on August 8, 1944 at Cintheaux, France.
Wittmann's "Late Production" Tiger I Turret Conversion Kit (EACK16040) Details

Elite Armor's "Late Production" Tiger I Turret Conversion Kit will now allow you to easily convert all of Tamiya's 1/16 scale Tiger I 'Early Production' kits (including the Full-Option 56010 R/C) into the very impressive 'Late Production' versions that Michael Wittmann used when in command of the 2nd Kompanie of the s.SS.PzAbt 101 that fought brilliantly on the Normandy battle fields. Included in the Turret Conversion kit are the markings for four Tiger I's used by Michael Wittman in the Bocage region...including 205 (his assigned mount), 222 or 212 (you decide which tank he rode into Villers-Bocage on June 13, 1944 when he single-handily stopped the 4th County of London Yeomanry Regiment) and 007 his final mount which he died in near Cintheaux after winning his second Knights Cross for his heroic actions in the battle of Villers-Bocage. The main part of this new kit is the new precision "Laser-Cut" plastic turret roof assembly that will allow you to build the 40mm thick turret roof that characterized this version of the Tiger I tank.
